ECB – Interest Rates Remain 0.05 Percent

After much hype and anticipation, the European Central Bank (ECB) kept interest rates unchanged.

The deposit rate, minus 0.2 percent  and the marginal lending rate, and 0.3 percent also remained the same.

The ECB is struggling with a difficult situation of mixed economic signals at home, an uncertain global outlook abroad. There are a variety of opinions on what’s needed to fight feeble inflation. Read article
